The essentials

What does each tool do?

Five tools, each with its own page, instructions and a worked example.

  • Chronological age calculator: age in years, months and days for any test date, written as years;months.
  • Corrected age calculator: add weeks of gestation to see corrected age beside chronological age for a baby born preterm.
  • SMART goal builder: fill in who, skill, situation, support, criterion and date, and copy one goal sentence.
  • Session data tracker: tap correct, incorrect or prompted, count occurrences, time episodes, and copy a summary.
  • Report writer: open any template or a blank page, type into it, and download a PDF.

Each tool has its own page with instructions, a worked example and answers to common questions.

Where do the tools fit in a therapy week?

Age before testing, goals when planning, data in the session, and the note or report afterwards.

Before an assessment, the age calculators give the age the test manual asks for. When you plan, the goal builder turns a family priority into a goal you can measure. In the session, the tracker counts while your hands stay free. Afterwards, the summary goes into a note in the report writer.

The goal builder and data tracker link onward to templates, so a goal can go straight into a plan and a summary straight into a note.

Why do the tools run in the browser?

Therapy data is sensitive, so the tools work on your device and do not send what you type.

The calculators, goal builder and data tracker work on your device and do not send what you type to healhab. Report writer drafts are saved in your browser. When you ask for a PDF, the document goes to our server to create the file and is not kept.

Still, treat every free tool as a public workspace. Use initials, avoid full dates of birth beside names, and move anything identifying into your clinic's records.

What will these tools not do?

They do arithmetic and formatting only. They never judge what a result means.

They do not compare a person with age expectations, convert results into test figures, or suggest what a result means. A calculated age is a date difference and a percentage is one count divided by another. Test manuals, your training and your clinic's policies decide how each number is used.

Can I use the tools in a session on my phone?

Yes. Buttons are thumb-sized and nothing needs installing. Copy tracker counts before you close the page.

The buttons are sized for thumbs, the data tracker works on a small screen, and nothing needs installing. Tracker counts clear when you leave the page, so copy or print the summary first. Long reports are easier on a laptop, though the report writer works on phones too.

About these tools

healhab's free tools for therapists cover small, repeated jobs in a therapy week: working out chronological or corrected age for testing, writing a measurable SMART goal, counting trials and prompts during a session, and writing a report you can download as a PDF. Each tool runs in your browser with no sign-up.

These tools replace the scraps of paper on a therapist's desk: an age worked out in a margin, tally marks on a session plan, a goal rewritten because a parent asked what "improve" means.

Each does one job, opens quickly on a phone or laptop, and keeps what you type on your device. None of them interprets results for you.

Questions

Do I need to sign up to use the tools?

No. Open a tool and start. There is no account, email form or trial period in front of any of them.

Do the tools store my patients' information?

The calculators, SMART goal builder and data tracker do not send what you type to healhab. Report writer drafts stay in your browser, and PDF requests are processed without being stored.

Can I use these tools for adults as well as children?

Yes. The goal builder, data tracker and report writer suit any age. The corrected age calculator is for babies and young children born preterm.

Are the tools suitable for ABA data collection?

The tracker handles trial-by-trial counts with prompted trials, frequency with a rate per minute, and duration across episodes. For interval recording or ABC data, use the printable data sheets.

Will more tools be added?

We add tools when therapists tell us about a repeated task that a small, private browser tool can handle well. Tell us through the contact page if there is one you need.

Write every report inside your clinic system.

Keep these as your clinic's own templates, write from reviewed session notes, publish branded PDFs, and keep families updated.
